Birding on the Bethine and Litter Patrol
~ An early Sunday morning activity~ ~ Please Join Golden Eagle Audubon Society (GEAS) for their monthly bird walk along the Bethine Church Nature Trail. This is a great opportunity to learn about riparian habitats with a focus on local birds and wildlife as well as plants encountered along the walk. GEAS works to keep the trail clean by picking up litter along the way. Expect to see songbirds, waterfowl, woodpeckers, herons and kingfishers.
~Summer Birding Walk starts early at 8 AM and usually finishes early by 11AM . Please bring water, binoculars and a plastic grocery bag, in case trash is discovered, it’s usually minimal. Please be advised this is good hiking distance on the greenbelt. Please note that unexpected weather conditions may postpone the birding walk.
