Owl Talk

How does noise affect owls?  Tate Mason, the new education coordinator for The Peregrine Fund, will discuss his research on the impact that natural gas compressor station noise has on the hunting ability of the Northern Saw-whet Owl.  He will talk about owl hearing adaptations and hunting strategies, including the results and implications of his research.  Tate will soon finish the graduate program in Raptor Biology at Boise State University.
