A Field Guide to the Common Insects of the Treasure Valley

This guide was developed to give individuals insight into the amazing and diverse world of insects. Terminology to differentiate insects can be complicated, however, this guide seeks to reduce that while giving readers enough information and pictures to identify common insects found in the Treasure Valley. These insects may be found in the Boise Foothills, along the Boise River, up near Bogus Basin or even in your own backyard.
