Birding on the Bethine and Litter Patrol
~ An early Sunday morning activity: Park at the Greenbelt parking area, SE of the Bown Crossing Library. Then we’ll walk the Bethine Church Nature Trail going downriver, birding as we go, then pick up whatever bits of litter we find on the way back. Birds abound in the pond river and riparian wooded habitat. Expect to see songbirds, waterfowl, woodpeckers, herons and kingfishers. ~
We usually finish around noon. Bring water, binocs and a plastic grocery bag, in case trash is discovered, it’s usually minimal, No public restrooms are available. Please be advised this is good hiking distance on the greenbelt. Please note that weather conditions may postpone the birding walk.
