Idaho is home to 28 native orchids.  They occur in a surprising array of color, shapes, and sizes, from the pink fairy slipper that is only a few centimeters tall, to the peach and green stream orchid at about a meter tall.  A few lack leaves and chlorophyll and parasitize other plants.  Some attract and funnel insect pollinators in unusual ways.  Come learn about these fascinating and lovely wildflowers!
