Join our community partner Golden Eagle Audubon Society for a monthly beginner and family-friendly bird walk.

Please register to attend this trip. Make sure ALL fields are filled in and a confirmation email is received.

Meeting location: Library! at Bown Crossing. We will meet outside the library and walk together to the greenbelt.

Join Golden Eagle Audubon for our monthly beginner and family-friendly bird walk along the Bethine Church River Trail. This is a great opportunity to learn about riparian habitat as we focus on local birds, plants, and stewardship efforts in the area.

Expect to see songbirds, waterfowl, woodpeckers, herons, and kingfishers.

This monthly bird walk is targeted towards beginner birders, so if you are brand-new to birding, this is the outing for you! We will cover basics like adjusting your binoculars, how to use field guides, and tips & tricks to identifying birds.

No public restrooms are available. We will travel between 1-2 miles on flat, unpaved trails. Binoculars are available to borrow if needed.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes. All participants under the age of 18 yrs old must be accompanied by an adult.

Please contact fieldtrips@goldeneagleaudubon.org with any questions.

NOTE: The bird walk requires Two Levels of Pre-Registration for all participants.
