Join our community partner, the City of Boise The Idaho Firewise Demonstration Garden at the College of Western Idaho (CWI) Horticulture & Idaho Botanical Garden (IBG) was the first firewise demonstration garden developed in Idaho to show homeowners how they can live on the edge of wildlands more safely and beautifully. This event on May 17th (10 am-2 pm) will be a garden open house with visitors able to walk the grounds to learn about fire resilient landscaping, home hardening, and engage with staff/volunteers and our event collaborators. There will partners at booths/tables for visitor engagement. Organizations at this event: Idaho Firewise, Boise Fire Department, Idaho Power, National Weather Service, Ada County Emergency Management & Community Resilience, Dig Line, and Red Cross.
