HRWMA RESTORATION PLANTING DAY
April 3rd:10am-2pm
Volunteer for a day at Warm Springs Creek and the Greenbelt, our corner pollinator garden. It's where all the cages are.
Help us to plant native seedlings and remove weeds, especially cheatgrass that is already gaining a foothold.
We will provide everything for the day (plants and tools). However, you can bring your own gloves, kneeler, other tools, and/or a gardening trowel if you would like to.
Please dress for spring weather. It is expected to be a nice, sunny day with hopefully some moisture in the soil.
More details for the day
You can park off S. Millbrook Way, Barnside, or at Marianne Williams Park. We'll gather at this corner off the greenbelt near Warm Springs Creek. Alternatively you can walk or ride your bike and meet us there.
What you will need to know and bring for a planting day?
We will provide the plants, tools, equipment, and any guidance or training needed for the day, so you can join us for a relaxing day outdoors.
Feel free to bring your own gloves, tools, kneeling pad, and/or gardening trowel, if you would like to.
You may also need water, a snack, hat, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes.
Be prepared for spring weather by dressing in layers. Fall is a pleasant time of year, but it may be a little chilly to start and then it usually warms up as the day goes on.
